Transparency Policy

This page explains how Bets-Betting.com is funded, how affiliate links work and how we separate commercial relationships from editorial decisions. Readers should be able to see what the site is, how it earns money, and where the limits of our reviews are.
How Bets-Betting.com Is Funded
Bets-Betting.com is an affiliate-funded editorial site. If a reader clicks a link to a betting site or online casino and later signs up, we may receive a commission from the operator. This is how many independent comparison sites fund writing, updates, hosting, research and technical work.
Affiliate links do not cost the reader extra. They also do not create a guarantee that a site will be suitable, risk-free or available to every New Zealand visitor.
Commercial relationships do not decide warnings
An affiliate relationship does not prevent us from showing cautions, lowering a rating, describing weak terms, removing a brand from a ranking or placing a stronger editorial warning on a page.
How Editorial Ratings Are Protected
Ratings are based on the page intent and the review factors explained in How We Rate Sites. For betting pages, that means sports coverage, market depth, live betting, bonus restrictions, cashier wording, support visibility and safer gambling tools. For casino pages, it means game range, bonus terms, cashout rules, KYC wording, support routes and account-safety signals.
We do not sell guaranteed positions in rankings. We also do not let a headline bonus decide the order of a list. A site can be commercially available to us and still sit lower in a ranking if the editorial case is weaker.
What We Review
- Public terms and conditions.
- Country restrictions and account rules.
- Cashier wording, payment limits and cashout conditions.
- Bonus restrictions, wagering, expiry and max-win caps.
- Sports markets, game range or live casino coverage depending on the page.
- Support access and complaint routes visible before registration.
- Responsible gambling tools and links to help resources.
- Repeated public complaint patterns where they are relevant to user risk.
Live Testing Claims
Older site content used stronger testing language than we now want on the site. Our current policy is stricter: we do not claim a live deposit, bet, bonus claim or withdrawal unless the relevant page gives the exact test details. If those details are not shown, the page should be treated as editorial research based on public information and player-facing terms.
This policy keeps trust pages, money pages and brand pages aligned. It also helps avoid vague “tested by us” claims that sound impressive but do not help the reader verify anything.
Sponsored Content and Advertising
If we publish sponsored content in the future, it should be labelled clearly. Sponsored content should not be presented as independent editorial review. Core ranking pages and trust pages should remain written around editorial criteria, not sponsor copy.
Data, Privacy and Tracking
Affiliate tracking may record that a visitor clicked from Bets-Betting.com to an operator. We do not sell visitor personal data to operators. Operator registration, deposits, identity checks and account handling happen on the operator’s own site and are governed by that operator’s terms and privacy policy.
For more detail on site-level privacy handling, read our Privacy Policy.
Corrections and Updates
Operators change terms, bonus pages, payment rules, country wording and support routes. We update content when we find material changes, when pages need to fit a cleaner site structure, or when a reader reports something that needs checking.
To request a correction, use the Contact page and include the page URL, the issue and any public source that helps verify the change.
Responsible Gambling
Commercial disclosure does not reduce gambling risk. Betting and casino play can cause harm. If gambling stops feeling controlled, contact Gambling Helpline New Zealand on 0800 654 655 or text 8006. You can also read our Responsible Gambling page.
